[alert style="red"] Requirements before Installing [/alert]
Extract the folder inside the zip file to your program files.
After extraction; Right click your “My Computer” icon and Hit “Properties” and there “Advanced System Setting” and finally hit “Environmental Variables”.
Add a new user variable.
Hit the first “New…” button.
Variable Name (IN CAPS): “ANT_HOME” and Variable Path: path of your apache-ant folder.
We have the variable for apache-ant now for JDK
Again hit the same “New…” button.
Variable Name (IN CAPS): ”JAVA_HOME” and Variable Path: path of your JDK folder.
[alert style="green"]One more Step left we have to add the path of APACHE ANT’s Bin Folder[/alert]
Find the “Path” under “System Variable” and hit “Edit” button.
Now find the path of your APACHE ANT’s Bin Folder in apache-ant folder and copy its path. Example: My Bin Path is – C:\Program Files\apache-ant-1.8.3\bin
Now add this path to the Variable Value. Before adding path “semi-colon” must be added along with the path. Therefore your path must look like this below. “;Your Apache Bin Path”. Example: in my case it would look like this “;C:\Program Files\apache-ant-1.8.3\bin”.
Now we are done with your setup. Perfectly. If don’t understand, I have attached a video for installing apache-ant.
Previously we were configuring the PC for Installation of Android SDK. Now you can use both the SDK of Android (i.e.) Zip and Exe SDK installer that are available for Download.
Before, onto the tutorial download the packages here.
Using zip and exe are same.
In zip you need to extract the files to your operating system colon. On other hand is the exe format SDK which you need to install the SDK, the files are extracted automatically by the installer.
Other steps are 100% ditto of each other.
Now open the folder where you have installed or extracted the files of Android SDK.
Now double-click the “SDK Manager” in the folder.
You will find the following dialog. This dialog will fetch all the Android SDK Packages
Now, in our tutorial we are going to install android 4.0.3 it is the current latest SDK. If you want to try the other versions you’re welcomed to do. Here are the required tools to Run Android 4.0.3 and Hit “Install Package”.
Hit “Accept” radio-button for the selected packages.
Now open the folder where you have extracted/installed the file of Android SDK. There you will find “AVD Manager”.
Double click to open the “AVD Manager” for Emulating your Android 4.0.3.
You find a dialog like the following, now hit the button “New…” to create a virtual device to emulate Android 4.0.3. Type in the Name of the Device for emulation and Target select the Android Operating System you have installed and hit “Create AVD”.
For Emulation of the created AVD (Android Virtual Device) select the “AVD” file and hit “Start”.
Don’t Change Anything in appearing dialog, just hit “Launch”.
The Loading Screen will start after flickers of Command Prompts.
It takes roughly 5 minutes to display the home screen.
